Who ever said you can’t have some rock and roll with your Christmas tunes? Back in 2008, hard-rock singer/songwriter Alice Cooper released a totally badass version of the 1934 “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, and it’s infused with all of the extravagant and theatrical fashion we’d always expect from Alice Cooper. From the 2008 Christmas hard-rock compilation album We Wish You A Metal Xmas and A Headbanging New Year, this version of the classic Christmas tune will have you headbanging with some holiday spirit!
Legendary songwriter and performer Leonard Cohen, who is best know for his work on the wildly popular song ‘Hallelujah’ has passed away at the age of 82. His work, spanning a time period of nearly 50 years, included songs that touched on many controversial subjects over the decades, dealing with love and hate, sex, spirituality, war and peace, as well as ecstasy and depression. He performed ‘Come Healing’ for the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack, which played in the opening episode of Season 6.
Admittedly, this is one of the more strange things we’ve seen Sons of Anarchy alumni Tommy Flanagan (Filip “Chibs” Telford) do…but we’ll roll with it. Just recently he starred in yet another music video, this time with a collective soul band out of Manchester, UK, named The Winachi Tribe. The name of the song is A Room With A Zoo, and the video features Tommy floating and dancing around all angelic-like. It’s a far stretch from his days as Chibs, the leather-clad biker outlaw with reason.

For anyone who thinks artist Britney Spears is a has-been is in for one hell of a surprise. The 34 year old singer made her return to the big stage with a vengeance at the 2016 MTV VMA Awards, looking flawless as she totally slayed the hot performance. After she was introduced by icon Kim Kardashian, she emerged from behind a silk screen in a revealing bodysuit – sheer except for a few well placed yellow embellishments.

How has Sofia Karlberg not been discovered yet? She should be as famous as Ed Sheeran at this point, considering she took “Make It Rain” and made the most badass cover from it that we’ve ever heard! To say her voice is incredible is a vast, vast understatement. Her voice reaches deep down into your soul and haunts every fiber of your being. Seriously, this cover will give you chills!

Not only did Ed Sheeran (Soundtrack, Sons of Anarchy) totally blow this Jessie J cover out of the water, it has an incredibly important message. “Who You Are” lyrically tells you to embrace who you are, to not lose the person you have spent so much time and energy creating. To not let other people convince you that you’re not good enough, or that you need to somehow change. It’s pretty spectacular.

For everyone who attended KoRn’s Return of the Dreads show in Irving, CA last night – we are eternally jealous of you. KoRn played at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre last night as a part of the Return of The Dreads Tour 2016, and special guest Tommy Flanagan (Filip “Chibs” Telford, Sons of Anarchy) took the stage to introduce the band. Tommy recently starred in KoRn’s newest music video “Rotting in Vain” (see below).
I am fangirling SO hard right now! I am now less than 24 hours from going to see my first ever live KoRn show, and I’ve just discovered that KoRn had recruited Sons of Anarchy Tommy Flanagan (Filip “Chibs” Telford) to star in their newest music video “Rotting In Vain”, which was just released on July 19, 2016. This is one of those times where I really feel that the universe is on my side, and I am way too excited to be sharing this with all of you SOA Fanatics!
Ok , so not only did Ed Sheeran (Sons of Anarchy, Soundtrack) cover One Direction’s hit song “Little Things”, he also wrote the wildly popular tune. Ed is a man of extreme talent, and we so love him for not only performing “Make It Rain” in the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack, but for everything he ever does. He’s a talented writer, singer, and performer, and we’re ecstatic to be sharing some more of his work with you today!
Ok, so while this one wasn’t included in the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack, we feel it deserves a notable mention. The White Buffalo is mostly responsible for the amazing sound in Sons of Anarchy, and this song totally should have been in the soundtrack, in our opinion. So get comfy, and read along with the lyrics posted below. It’s a great tune!

It’s called Dreaming Of You, and it played in Season 4, Episode 8: Family Recipe. She performed the song with The Forest Rangers, and it is seriously beautiful.

If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that Sons of Anarchy Executive Producer Kurt Sutter was a stickler for details. He wanted everything to be perfect, to be executed flawlessly, and for everything to match up impeccably. This all stood true for the series, even within the soundtrack – so much so that the songs held a lyrical tone, and matched up lyrically with what was happening within the scenes. Take a look at seven Sons of Anarchy songs that prove how much of a perfectionist Kurt Sutter really is. Heads up
there’s some spoilers below, if you haven’t made it to the final season yet.
‘Bird On A Wire’ – Katey Sagal & The Forest Rangers

Do you remember Sons of Anarchy Season 1, Episode 3: “Fun Town”? Cycle of Pain did a song called “5” for the episode, that played while SAMCRO raided a religious house looking for Johnny Yates (Brett Wagner), the man accused of raping a 13 year old girl at the Charming carnival. Yates was a former Nord, though according to Ernest Darby (Mitch Pileggi), he didn’t fit in well.

If you haven’t yet heard of Drew Evans, you totally should get to know him. Not only is he an avid YouTuber, but he’s a skilled guitarist and vocalist, who has just happened to cover the Sons of Anarchy Theme Song, ‘This Life‘. Not only did he cover it, but he added his own twists to it – a solo and tweaks to the guitar riffs – and he totally, totally rocks it.
Ed Sheeran, the amazing vocalist who provided the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack with the unmistakable hit song “Make It Rain“, is up against some pretty serious allegations – and is being sued for $20 million over another hit song of his, “Photograph“. The tune, a top 10 hit song that sold over 3.5 million copies, is under scrutiny by a pair of California songwriters, Martin Harrington and Tom Leonard, as they claim copyright infringement against it, from a song they released in 2012.

After the Devil’s Tribe Patch Over Party, Jax taunts the Mayans MC to follow him into an ambush at Indian Hills Clubhouse, resulting in a shootout.
Do you remember this episode of Sons of Anarchy Season 1, when the relationship between SAMCRO and the Mayans MC was strained, at best? The two clubs were at each other’s throats – SAMCRO President Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) and Mayans President Marcus Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) didn’t exactly see eye to eye, and their disagreements came to a head at Indian Hills.
