No joke, Ron Perlman (Clay Morrow, Sons of Anarchy) took to the internet today to announce his bid for President of The United States for our next election year, 2020. Now that it’s been confirmed for us that anyone can run for the Presidency and get elected for the position, why not add another celebrity name to the list of US Presidential wannabes? I mean, Ron was already the President of a fictitious motorcycle club, so why not try his hand at running an entire country?

Seriously, we’re not joking. This morning we woke up to the news that businessman/celebrity/millionaire-sued over 3,500 times Donald Trump was elected to be our next President. He doesn’t have a lick of political experience, he’s never held office, and honestly probably never actually expected to actually win the Oval Office. So does it seem that far-fetched that actor Ron Perlman would want to run after Trump’s 4 year term has ended?

Check out Ron’s Facebook status from this morning below, where he says

I am hereby using my immense Facebook presence to announce my candidacy for President of United States, 2020.

as he crosses his hand over his heart, and tell us in the comments if legitimately, you’d like to see Ron sit behind that big, beautiful oak desk in Washington DC. All joking aside, we know Clay was a horrible and treacherous President, could you see Ron running the country? Will you be sad if he was just joking?

Check out Ron’s views on voting, and why it’s so important to him, here:
