Which Show Is More Gruesome – Sons of Anarchy Or The Walking Dead?

There is so much chatter following The Walking Dead’s Season 7 premiere, and most of it doesn’t even have to do with the fact that we now know who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)’s killed, but with how he killed those characters. Bear with me as I try not to post blatant spoilers here in the first paragraph (but LOOK OUT – spoilers are posted below). Considering the how of it all seems to matter more than the who, we’re compelled to ask a question, seeing as death wasn’t a total stranger in Sons of Anarchy either – which of the two shows is more gruesome?

The Parents Television Council is allll over The Walking Dead for Negan’s display of what’s been referred to as “torture porn” – but if you’ll remember, Jax (Teller, Charlie Hunnam) tortured and killed Chris Dun (Tim Park) in no less of a disgusting way than Negan killed Abraham (Ford, Michael Cudlitz) or Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), in all reality. Not to mention the other repugnant things we saw within Sons of Anarchy – like Tig (Trager, Kim Coates) drowning a man in a tub of urine, or Bobby (Munson, Mark Boone Jr.) having his eyeball scooped out with a spoon and it being delivered to SAMCRO in a box.

That being said, we’re posting both of what we think are of the most gruesome kills from both shows below, and we want you to carefully watch and compare the two. Take your time in considering which of the two videos is more gruesome, more gross, more torturous – and tell us in the comments below if you think Sons of Anarchy is more gruesome than The Walking Dead, if Sons of Anarchy is less gruesome than The Walking Dead, or if you think both shows are as equally gruesome. Or, if you’re neutral, go ahead and tell us why you think it doesn’t matter at all. We can’t wait to get your opinions, SOA Fanatics!
