We’re not strangers to how television shows work, being the Sons of Anarchy fans that we are, and with that comes the knowledge of how actresses and actors may handle the stresses of being associated with a major television series for an extended period of time. That holds true for Criminal Minds actor Thomas Gibson, who was just fired from the CBS Network drama after an on-set altercation that he now cannot take back.
Gibson, who portrayed Aaron Hotchner on the series for 11 whole seasons, reportedly kicked a writer for the show, citing that there were “creative differences”. At first, the incident only got him suspended, but now producers from the series have announced that he will not be returning to the show for season 12 starting on September 28th.
A spokesperson for Gibson stated, on his behalf, that
“There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and we always will.”
Take a look at the story below, and tell us in the comments if you’re an avid Criminal Minds fan, and if you’ll miss Thomas Gibson as Aaron Hotchner on the show. Do you think his getting fired is a justifiable punishment for what he did on-set?
