In this day and age, it’s fairly obvious to see that the media representation of police officers is sad, at best. We hear all sorts of horrible stories in regards to police officers and what happens in public while they’re on duty, and sometimes we just need the solid reminder that police officers are people too, who get up in the morning, put their uniforms on, and go to work just like the rest of us. That message was recently sent loud and clear when 575 motorcycles took off in Baton Rouge, LA to honor police officers who have met the end of their watch.
Last week, a shooting in Baton Rouge left three police officers dead, after a man from Missouri had ambushed them while they were on duty. Sadly, that is the norm in the news these days, and bikers from Louisiana took a day shortly after the incident, on July 20, 2016, to honor those fallen, and spread a message of love and hope. They, like the rest of us, are tired of hearing about these senseless shootings, and took it upon themselves to do something to change it.
Take a look at video from the incredible ride to the Baton Rouge Police Department below, and tell us in the comments if you agree with the message the bikers are trying to send below. Did you get to participate in the ride with them last week? If so, let us know what the experience was like. If you’d even like to leave your condolences for the fallen officers below, we more than encourage you to do so.
