Do you remember back to Season 4, when Jax (Teller, Charlie Hunnam) and the guys were seen in the very first episode, leaving prison after having been hauled away by ATF at the close of Season 3? We do know that Jax came back home with scars from having been shivved in the joint, but we were only left to assume that it was Russians who put the hit out on Jax, as we never saw the incident happen.

We’ve managed to find what’s called an “appisode” from Sons of Anarchy – which are 1 to 3 minute episodes from the show – and this one entails Jax being attacked by the Russians while in Stockton Prison. The appisodes are available on the Android market and Apple store, and this particular one is appisode #101, “Payphone”. It shows Jax standing in line waiting for prison payphone use when he is surprised by the Russians in a bloody attack.

The incident, while deleted from the Sons of Anarchy series, is what lead SAMCRO to murder the Russians in the premiere episode of Season 4. Watch the appisode below, and tell us in the comments if you think the scene should have been a part of the regular Sons of Anarchy series. Do you think we’d have had a better understanding of the war between SAMCRO and the Russians had it not been deleted?
