Each time, we’ve asked you incredible SOA Fanatics if you attended the event, and if you did, what your experience was like – and we have gotten an amazing response to the question! Thank you, SOA Fanatics!

I only want to say one thing. Please stop attacking Houston in the post. It was Space City. I have had problems years ago with prepaid autos with them, never getting them or being refunded. I went last year and everything went fine. I never in a million years believed this would happen on such a large and tremendously fucked up scale. Showclix from my understanding, also got screwed. The promoters and management may have changed but some things didn’t. A real comic con here, and the only one, is Comicpalooza. They have brought heavyweights who never do cons and brought them. Plus no one has ever to my knowledge left CP without getting paid. I am sorry that this happened, but there are other cons. Reliable ones. It embarrasses me that this happened in my home town. The cast impressed me by sticking around. I wish Charlie had. For the fans. But I understand why he didn’t.
Blue, we didn’t mean to offend you by picking on Houston; it was a play on words back-referencing the Apollo 13 movie. We have heard several great stories about Comic Cons in Houston, and we’re glad you gave us information on those!
Tera Gilbert says,
We drove in from Austin with out two kids on our anniversary, just so I could meet and have the photo opp with Charlie. My husband bought me the pass for Mothers Day. I had no idea what was going on Friday and Saturday and even ran into Danny Trejo on Saturday night at our hotel. When we were heading to the Comic Con show Sunday morning I happened to ask the Hoyle manager if Charlie happened to be staying there too. He said that Charlie left town the day before?!?! When we got to Comic Con I quickly learned what was going on and that Charlie wouldn’t be there that day. I’m so crushed that I didn’t get to meet him, but I’m not sure if I should consider myself lucky for not potentially having to wait in line for 5-7 hours and missing him.
Tera, we’re so sorry you missed Charlie! But we think your husband has earned husband of the year! That’s an amazing Mother’s Day present!
