Sons of Anarchy Executive Producer Kurt Sutter posted it to Facebook himself – he will begin to explore the biker subculture from the Spanish point of view ahead of the Sons of Anarchy Mayan’s spin-off show. If you’ll remember, Kurt put a metric shit-ton of research into the MC lifestyle and subculture for the original Sons of Anarchy series, and it definitely paid off. Kurt was so meticulous about what he would allow in terms of production and what coincided with the actual biker subculture in filming.
His post, captioned simply with “The speculation continues!” was an article share from ibtimes.com – which we are referencing from today. Ibtimes says,
Charlie Hunnam, the star of “Sons of Anarchy,” will be seen at the cast reunion, due to be held in Houston, Texas, at the Space City Comic Con between May 27 and 29. While “Sons of Anarchy” fans are eagerly awaiting news on Hunnam’s re-appearance in the prequel, it would be interesting if he reveals any plans of a comeback during the event. If at all he is out of “Sons of Anarchy” for good, why would he be present at the event? Moreover, show creator Kurt Sutter and wife Katey Sagal are also expected to make an appearance at the event.
And to be fair, they have a seriously valid point. We hadn’t thought of it from that point of view ourselves, yet.
In a past interview with Deadline, Kurt had discussed Charlie and how he and wife Katey (Sagal, Gemma Teller-Morrow) had bonded with him in London. He even referred to Charlie as “family” and said he wanted to work with him again – see that interview in the gallery below (he talks about Charlie in images #11 & 12)! Tell us in the comments how much you’d love to see Charlie return to Sons of Anarchy for the Mayan’s Spin-Off!
