Sometimes, the story line in Sons of Anarchy resonated so closely to real life and the truth, that we know Executive Producer Kurt Sutter definitely did his research, and did it well. In real life, as Iron Demons reports, the United States Federal Government is proposing a ban on motorcycle clubs and biker gangs – this time against the logos and patches on their cuts (or kuttes).

You may remember something similar to this happening in Sons of Anarchy at the beginning of Season 4. While it wasn’t the Federal Government coming down on SAMCRO for their cuts and patches, it was the new Sheriff in town – the San Joaquin County Sheriff to be specific. The boys had been released from prison, and were met by Eli Roosevelt (Rockmond Dunbar) and the Sheriff’s department at the entrance to downtown Charming. Eli warns them against wearing their leathers in public.

Rewatch the scene from Sons of Anarchy Season 4, Episode 1: “Out”. Tell us in the comments how you feel about there being a real-life potential for MC’s to lose their logos and patches. Do you think it’s fair or unfair? Why? We’d love to hear your opinions on the topic!
