Sons of Anarchy Executive Producer Kurt Sutter is stopping at nothing to go full-out demon for his new writing adventure, “Lucas Stand”, a comic book series created by him and published by Boom! Studios. As USA Today put it, “if Hell is going to have a hitman, it’s probably best that Kurt Sutter has created him [said hitman]”. Kurt’s version of the story is set to debut June 1, 2016.
Kurt admits that
“…the central figure of Lucas Stand is “the darkest antihero or hero I’ve ever created”
…and that’s saying something epic. We’ve seen just how dark and just how antihero Kurt can go; which makes us even more curious about the lead character in “Lucas Stand”. If he’s a shred as hopelessly and righteously wrong as Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam, Sons of Anarchy) was, count us in.
Lucas Stand is a former special-ops soldier who’s seen and done some pretty heinous things. Returning home, he isolates himself from society and his family. Carrying that burden becomes too much for him, so he attempts suicide – and tries to put a bullet in his head. Instead of dying,he’s spared by the dark angel Gadriel, who tells him the balance of heaven and hell is out of whack, because too many demons have escaped.
