Charlie Hunnam (Jackson “Jax” Teller, Sons of Anarchy) and Ron Perlman (Clay Morrow, Sons of Anarchy) have teamed up on more than just a couple of occasions in TV and film. While we recognize them most as their Sons of Anarchy counterparts, they’ve starred together in a few different productions. Before they were Jax, and Clay, they were Frankie and Phyllis, in Jordan Roberts’s ‘3…2…1…Frankie Go Boom’.
IMDb describes ‘3…2…1…Frankie Go Boom’ as,
Frank Bartlett has been tortured, embarrassed, and humiliated by his brother Bruce — usually on film — his entire life. Now that Bruce is finally off drugs and has turned his life around, things should be different. They are not.
With Charlie Hunnam portraying lead character Frank Bartlett and Ron Perlman portraying Phyllis, who was really (at some point) Phil the computer hacker, the movie was nominated at the SXSW Film Festival for the Audience Award in 2012, and was well received by fans and critics. Though, what film starring the Sons of Anarchy duo wouldn’t be?
