*SPOILER ALERT – IF YOU HAVE NOT YET FINISHED THE SONS OF ANARCHY SERIES, READ THIS POST AT YOUR OWN RISK*
Today marks the one year anniversary of the Sons of Anarchy final episode, “Papa’s Goods”. It was not just the end of an epic tv series by FX Networks, it marked the end of an era. It signified how SAMCRO (Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original) would change forever, and made us do what we never wanted to do – say goodbye to Club President Jackson “Jax” Teller (Charlie Hunnam) forever.
While the episode brought us victories – watching Jax terminate August Marks (Billy Brown) and dirty cop Charles Barosky (Peter Weller) – it also gave us every reason possible to cry. We watched Jax fulfill his father’s legacy, which meant saying goodbye to his sons, both from the club and within his family, and ultimately ending his own life – where we imagined he’d join Tara (Knowles-Teller, Maggie Siff) in the afterlife, eternally bound by their love for one another.
