Now that we’ve had a chance to let the news sink in that Kurt Sutter pulled the plug on The Bastard Executioner, we found it appropriate to pay tribute to TBX, and to Sons of Anarchy music alum, Ed Sheeran, by sharing the theme song to the abruptly cancelled show. Ed Sheeran, who performs the TBX theme song, is also responsible for “Make It Rain”, the unforgettable song that played during Gemma Teller-Morrow (Katey Sagal)’s death in the penultimate episode of Sons of Anarchy.

Reviews for The Bastard Executioner were brutal all around, however, viewers seemed to enjoy the opening theme. While it isn’t “This Life”, our famed Sons of Anarchy theme done by Curtis Stigers and The Forest Rangers, it’s a musical appetizer that surely is a pleaser. Ed Sheeran did a fabulous job with the tune, as we wouldn’t expect any less from him.

Have a listen to TBX’s theme song below. You’ll catch the sweet tones of Ed Sheeran’s soulful voice, plus insight into the actual storyline for the show. Tell us in the comments what you think of Ed Sheeran singing “No Name”. Are you a fan of the song? If not, what is it that you dislike about it?
