TMZ caught up with Charlie Hunnam (Jackson “Jax” Teller, Sons of Anarchy) just before Thanksgiving, on November 25, 2015, to ask him how he felt about fighting UFC star Conor McGregor in the ring. This comes after Hunnam revealed that he studied hours upon hours of McGregor’s work to prepare for his role in King Arthur. Hunnam says he’s a huge fan of McGregor and his work, and during training even entertained the possibility of joining him in the ring.
Hunnam, who dropped his weight down to a meager 145 lbs, currently thinks he’s too small to fight McGregor, saying that he doesn’t think he’d even last “seven and a half seconds”. We’ve seen his fighting abilities and the confidence that comes with them – as we know, he challenged other actors auditioning for King Arthur to a fight to see who could fairly obtain the role.
Check out the interview below, and share your thoughts with us in the comments. Should Charlie Hunnam stick to acting, or would you like to see him get all hot and sweaty in the ring with Conor McGregor? Do you feel he’d have a decent chance with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship)?
