David Labrava, best known to us Sons of Anarchy fans as Happy Lowman, is more than just a crazy guy. His character, whose name was ironically based on the famous play ‘Death of a Salesman”, was SAMCRO’s enforcer. Labrava himself is a real-life member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club, among having other various talents.
Originally, Labrava was hired within Sons of Anarchy as the Technical Advisor, before show creator and producer Kurt Sutter cast him as the character of Happy. He co-wrote “Hands”, the 10th episode of Season 4 of the series. He also writes a column in the National Hot Rod Magazine, Ol’Skool Rods, called Burnin’ Rubber with Jimmy Carbone, and owns Evil Ink, his very own tattoo studio in Oakland, CA.
Labrava, within his successes also owns a film production studio named Artful Dodger Filmworks, as well as a clothing line that he’s named “DOGKULCHA” – it’s proceeds benefit rescues and animals in need. He bought his first Harley Davidson at age 17, and was a Hells Angels Member in SOCAL.
