The music from the Sons of Anarchy series is something I will always enjoy. The Forest Rangers are an incredible band, with an incredible sound. They handle the majority of the music in SOA, throughout all of the seasons.
One of my ultimate favorites from the series is the acapella version of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young”, covered by Audra Mae and The Forest Rangers. Audra has a soothing, soulful voice, and delivers the lyrics in an intensely emotional way.
It is said that music is up for interpretation by its listener, and for me this song is about so many different things. It has a personal meaning to me, as well as having an exceptional definition within SOA. It was playing during Season 1, Episode 12: “Balm”, when Tig (Trager) accidentally kills Donna (Winston).
We as fans have the amazing opportunity with SOA, to be able to attach its music to a memory. The soundtrack for the show was precisely executed with the script for the show. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Tell us in the comments what you think of Audra Mae with “Forever Young”! Do you believe that this song was well-suited for the episode “Balm”?
